This photograph was taken on a fall afternoon deep in the Cunningham Falls State Park in Thurmont, Maryland. I just happen to come across this fallen tree covered with moss and beautiful orange leaves pointing down toward the bottom of the hill. It gave great leading lines in the photgraph so I took the shot.Time
It probably was mid-morning on an overcast day in the fall.Lighting
The lighting was a little tricky because of the tree covering but I was able to correct that in post.Equipment
My camera is a Nikon D7100 and the lens was a 17-200mm. No tripod or flash was used to create this shot.Inspiration
The leading lines toward the trees with the beautiful matching leaves were my inspiration for this photograph.Editing
The only post-processing was to enhance the lighting a bit, due to the overcast day.In my camera bag
The equipment in my bag is my 18-200mm, 50mm, and sometimes my 105mm. Depending on where and what I'm shooting - my tripod. I do a lot of freehand shooting.Feedback
My advice is to keep your eye open and don't forget to look down...there could be a shot right in front of your camera.
