Location
The photo was taken in the woods of the northern part of The Netherlands in the autumn period last year. I had bought a new 50mm lens for the first time on my Canon 6D. This brought me a promising result.Time
The photo was taken in a part of the day that the sun was lowering in the sky. Due to the autumn I had nicely combined colors of green and brown with soft light through the trees.Lighting
There was no plan taking this picture, but with perfect circumstances and the feeling for the right angle in which the picture was taken it resulted in a awesome result.Equipment
The picture was taken with the Canon 6D full frame body and lens 50mm Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM, no flash and no tripod.Inspiration
Because the mushroom was so tiny, I tried my 1.4 diaphragm. I went down on my knees and took the picture with the sun towards the tiny mushroom.Editing
No post-processing was used.In my camera bag
In my photoback I always take with me my Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS lens. I am not always taking my tripod with me, because I do a lot walks to discover the environment first. When I like a place I will come back with full equipment, including a carbon tripod, speed light, filters, small reflection screens and umbrella.Feedback
If you want make a capture like this, I want to advice you to go into the woods during the autumn when the sun is lowering in the sky. You can take such a capture using a tripod, but with a steady hand and no tripod on the move, give it a try. Maybe you wil have also a lucky shot like this.
