This photo was taken at Bear Lake in Rocky Mountain national Park. There are some many amazing photo opportunities in this park. Unfortunately the west side of the park was devastated by a huge wildfire this past year. The east side was largely spared and missed this wonderful lake.Time
I had been in the park for several hours and arrived at the lake around 3pm with very few clouds in the sky. I took this on the North side of the lake.Lighting
Well it was taken with all natural lighting, but do wish there would have been more clouds in order for the mountains to have more sharpness and color. I don't do much post process so you see what i saw that day.Equipment
When i shot this I owned a Canon 60D with a 18-135mm lens, and hand held the cameraInspiration
Well if you have been to this park you know that there are so many awesome places to shoot, I love taking pics around the many lakes in this park and sometimes get carried away with shooting them. I love Bear lake and Sprague lake in the park as they have fantastic views!Editing
Only post processing i typically do i adjusting the color and sharpnessIn my camera bag
I have a Canon 70D with the standard 50mm and then a 18-135mm along with a L-series 70-200mm and a 100m macroFeedback
If you go to RMNP, obviously early morning or late in the day are the best times, unless you are shooting pics of the Elk. When shooting the lakes the shadows can be rather dramatic at times and the trees can look great in the background. Just have fun.
