Location
This was taken at Barry "Island" in South Wales. The huts are part of the rejuvenation of a tired and run down family beach resort, with the rebranding of "Barrybados"Time
It was ( I think ) Mid afternoon.Lighting
The lighting was , as you can see, very flat, wide open from the sea means almost no shadowsEquipment
My Nikon 5200, with a kit 18-55 mm lensInspiration
I had seen the huts from the distance, and knew that they would make a splash of colour , but was hoping not to come up with the "standard" shot of the receding line of huts. There is a car park above the huts and steps coming down, this was taken from those steps , picking the angle to try and get us much colour in as possible.Editing
I'm colour blind, and can't trust what I can see ( unless there are numbers to it) on a slider , so there was the bare minimum of work in LightRoom, a light crop, straighten and increase of vibrancy & contrast. I had only just started using LightRoom, now I would probably use the dehaze a touch and possibly the sharpening toolIn my camera bag
