Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta, Canada. This is Upper Waterton Lake.

Time

This was taken around 1:00pm. A storm was coming in.

Lighting

A storm was coming, an hour later it really started to pour rain! I didn't have to do anything to get this shot. The sky was beautiful and the lighting was natural. The settings were: 1/160, f9, ISO 80

Equipment

I used a Canon SD1100 IS Powershot Digital Elph.

Inspiration

I sat in the restaurant looking out over the lake and I loved the view! It was breathtaking! I decided to go outside and take a photo.

Editing

No.

In my camera bag

I have this "small" camera. I also have my "large" camera - a Canon EOS T3 and a small tripod. As this was a hiking trip with lots of options for trails in Waterton Lakes National Park, I decided to take my small camera and my iPhone only.

Feedback

Take the photo! If you see something that you like, just do it! I didn't set this up. It was an impromptu shot with a hand-held camera.
