Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was an overcast and rainy day, so the light was good for photography. I was on a boat tour of the canals.

Time

This was taken in the mid-afternoon.

Lighting

The rain had stopped for a little while, but it was still overcast. The sun was peeking out of the clouds a bit. This made for ideal lighting for photography.

Equipment

I used my Canon EOS Rebel T5. Aperture: f/10; Exposure: 1/250; ISO: 100

Inspiration

This setting was a perfect example of how I pictured Copenhagen to be. This was a charming setting, very indicative of the city. Our boat tour stopped along this canal so we could get out to look around the shops and cafes. I liked how all these boats were lined up with the different coloured buildings behind them.

Editing

No post-processing was necessary.

In my camera bag

I always have my iPhone, and at least one of my cameras, depending on the situation and how much I can carry. My 'little' camera is a Canon Digital Elf that fits in my pocket. My 'big' camera is my Canon EOS Rebel T5 that comes with the 'kit' lens. That requires a bigger bag to carry.

Feedback

Pay attention to the light. I shot this in the break between the rain when the sky was still overcast. Have fun. Take your shot when you get the opportunity. Don't overthink.
