Behind The Lens

Location

I took this while my dog Jaspr was distracted. I was sitting 2 steps below him. He HATES to have his photo taken so I have to keep him entertained and distracted. For this photo he was distracted by my mom outside.

Time

I took this in the early evening, before the "magic hour" hit.

Lighting

I just used natural lighting for this shot.

Equipment

The only equipment I used was my little lime green Kodak EasyShare 14mp camera. That's the only equipment I have.

Inspiration

I just was taking photos of Jaspr like I normally do. I think I have a bit of an obsession with my dog lol. I loved the way there were different textures as well. The softness of his fur and the roughness of his *now gone* ball.

Editing

The only post-processing that I did was to brighten the photo just a touch and sharpen it a little as well.

In my camera bag

I don't have any camera bag. I just put my point and shoot in my slingbag and call it good :)

Feedback

Just be patient. If you try and push for a photo, you may not like the results. I took a lot of photos to get just this one that I liked. My advice for photographing pets, be patient for sure.
