Common suburban garden spider.
Spotted on my garden one day. This female must have been heavily pregnant, as only a day or two later she was gone but there were thousands of tiny little spiders skittering about in my garden.
Took ages to capture the right shot in focus, lots of wasted shots, but with digital, it doesn't really matter. I had no macro setting on the camera so this was simply a trial and error experiment.
