The River Rivelin cuts its way from its source on the High Peak moorlands to its confluence with the River Loxley in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, UK. The Rivelin Valley (where this photograph was taken) is a delightful woodland area that was once the site of many water powered grinding wheels for the Sheffield cutlers, some dating back to the 17th Century. However only the ruins of these once workplaces now remain within the valley.
