The Most Amazing Cloud Formation I Have Ever Seen!
I was going through some old pictures I had taken and came across this recently. It was taken August 2013.
I remember I was driving home and while driving north on a major street, I crossed over interstate 20 and looked to the west and saw an amazing cloud hovering over the highway.
I remember it being so amazing, I literally stopped on the busy street, got out my camera, and took this picture. Then I forgot about it until now.
When I pulled it up January 2015, I was awestruck by the amazing details in the clouds.
If you look closely, you'll see at least 2 faces at the left of the cloud.
One looks like he has a goatee and the other looks like he has something in his hand...he almost looks like he has a microphone and is speaking into it....
If you look at the darker part of the cloud behind the one with the "microphone" in his hand, you'll see a shadowy face with dark eyes peering out of the cloud. It almost looks like Abraham Lincoln and right below him, if you zoom in, you'll see a cat's face.
Tell me what you see and what you think......
I was recently told by a retired pilot that this is a Cumulonimbus cloud. As a pilot, he said they are very dangerous and he actually lost a pilot friend that had gotten caught in one and died.
"Cumulonimbus clouds are thunderstorm clouds that form if cumulus congestus clouds continue to grow vertically. Their dark bases may be no more than 300 m (1000 ft) above the Earth's surface. Their tops may extend upward to over 12,000 m (39,000 ft). Tremendous amounts of energy are released by the condensation of water vapor within a cumulonimbus. Lightning, thunder, and even violent tornadoes are associated with the cumulonimbus."

Great shot... (I think it looks a bit like a lighthouse, a person in a dress and I see a few faces too.)

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment on my photo. It truly was an amazing cloud... I just didn't realize how amazing until I loaded it on my computer. I had to stop m car on a very busy overpass so I really didn't have a chance to see all the details until much later when I downloaded the photos to my laptop.

Check out all of the faces in this cloud. You can clearly see at least 3 and others said they found more than three.

The lighting was very unusual as this massive cloud formed just as the sun was going down.Equipment

Taking this photo was totally spontaneous. I was awestruck by this amazing cloud hovering over the highway which compelled me to stop my car on a busy street and get out of my car to take a picture of it. At the time, I truly didn't see all of the details in the cloud. I was recently told by a retired pilot that this is a Cumulonimbus cloud. As a pilot, he said they are very dangerous and he actually lost a pilot friend that had gotten caught in one and died. The post processing for this photo was done in Photoshop. I added additional contrast to bring out details, white balance, etc. The original photo is also posted on my viewbug page.... This one I did add additional color to it to make it pop more.In my camera bag

I don't normally carry my camera with me at all times. I just happened to be out doing some other shooting that day and happened to have my camera in the car with me. I try to take it with me as often as possible these days as I would have never had the chance to capture such an amazing photo if I didn't have my camera with me.
