Mono Lake. Taken during Stockton Camera Club's 2011 Eastern Sierra Fall Color Trip. We had fantastic sunset color the second two nights on that trip. We were standing tripod to tripod with photographers all around the shore this night. Some people started to leave as soon as the sun went below the Sierras and we tried to tell them to wait at least another 15 minutes for the good color. Some believed us and stayed, some didn't. Even with some people taking off, I still had to clone out two tripod legs from this and was limited to whatever composition I could get from this spot. What I ended up with is a little funky, but I think it works.

This is the same evening that I was shooting next to a gentleman who was ending up with 20 minute exposures to my 5 minute ones, He asked to check my settings which were the same as his. Turns out he had a polarizing filter on his lens and didn't know it is the equivalent of 2 stop ND. I let him borrow one of my filter pouches to store it in after that. :)
