I bought the Canon 7D Mark II in January, 2015. This was an experiment to see what I could do with 10 fps. I didn't even use 1-3 or so of the frames to make this image, since 10 fps is so fast that there was too much chaotic overlap with all them. I'm looking forward to playing with this new ability more.

I'm also experimenting with shooting more ocean scenes lately as part of an Uncomfortable Challenge in The Arcanum. My dad loves sailing and flying so I grew up in a house full of ocean themed art and came to to hate it. Okay, that might be a little extreme; I don't actually hate any art, but I'm certainly sick of the genre. As part of the challenge, I'm forcing myself to photograph seascapes and put my own spin on it. The weather proofing on the 7D2 helps with this, but I need to order some Breakthrough UV filters to protect my lenses. A friend has tested them with fantastic results. Glare and flare is better with them than without. I'm very impressed.
