I took this photo is downtown Spokane, Washington.Time
I believe the time was around 2 p.m.Lighting
It was just a nice, cloudy day in May.Equipment
Sony Nex-6 with a 17-55mm lens.Inspiration
The streets are not crowded in downtown Spokane. This street musician was set up right around a vertical mall. There are also tables and chairs with umbrellas. I saw and watched him front about 30 yards away. Very few people came by, but he continued to play. That was the poignant part. I had never see him before and have not seen him since.Editing
I just fiddled with the contrast and sharpening a bit.In my camera bag
Sony Nex-6, 17-55mm, 14mm, 50-200mm and fish eye lenses, cleaning materials, extra memory cards and batteries. I carry a bean bag in my car, but it's VERY heavy so I don't carry it around with me.Feedback
I took some advice I'd seen about street photography, and that was to find a place and sit, rather than stroll around. Every street musician is such a unique character. They are very easy to photograph, however, because they just seem to ignore me. If they are pretty good and seem to give it some energy, I will drop some $$ in their case.
