Location
This photo was Taken in Tours, France. It was for the wedding of Tracy and Davina. They were realy in love and the tenderness to each others was fantastic. All the city was there, that was a huge event.Time
I took this photo at 2:40 pm in the great hall of the Town Hall of Tours in France. I watched carefully for the important moments of the ceremony, I was nervous because it was my first contract. The two lovers had to exchange their vows in the presence of the Mayor of the city to celebrate the wedding. And just after, they headed to the cathedral of Tours for religious marriage.Lighting
There were large windows and plenty of natural light illuminating the great hall of the town hall. Every place i was the light was excellent for me.Equipment
For this image, it was my old Sony Alpha 700, coupled with the Sony G lens 70-200 F2.8. and no tripod.Inspiration
I did not have a particular inspiration, but I just wanted to capture the moment, this moment that lasts only a few seconds, that moment that I wanted them to remember all their lives.Editing
For this picture in black and white, I started by treating color version of RAW files in Lightroom, then I export a TIFF file to the Silver FX software for the black and white version. I create a warm B & W and I made sure that the couple had all the light they needed to.In my camera bag
Last year I updated my camera equipment i say and say goodbye to my old companion, my Sony A700, and i updated for the fabulous Sony SLT A99 with his new generation of ull frame sensor, this camera is a killer. I also my inseparable Sony Alpha 850 which also has a full frame sensor. I have three lens in my bag, a very bright f2.8 Zeiss 16-35, a F2,8 Sony G 70-200 and a 50mm Sony. I use two Manfrotto tripods and monopod. When I work on assignment or Street photography I love to use two straps systems, Double Black Rapid, and the straps and clips from Peak Design.Feedback
I would say for a wedding, you have to be careful and predict what will happen, have a step ahead of the ceremony to be placed in the ideal location to capture the perfect moment. Before the ceremony begins it is better to take some pictures for testing the ambient light. It would be a shame to miss these photos!
