Behind The Lens
Location
The photo was taken in the relatively new tunnel liking Canary Wharf to the new Crossrail station.Time
Id gone out pretty early one Sunday to try and find the City of London a little quieter. This was taken late morning as id spent most the day just walking around and shooting different areas.Lighting
The tunnel has windows so there is natural light coming in but there is such a glow at the end where it opens out onto the street.Equipment
I was shooting with a Nikon Df on this day, a great camera. It was hand held with a pretty high ISO.Inspiration
Id been looking to get some photos at this location for a while. I was just really lucky on this morning with the two people walking straight down the middle of the shot, not spoiling it but making it.Editing
I went for a strong contrast and a high key finish. I think it works at this location with its space age feeling. In my camera bag
Ive always got a wide angle lens and a FX camera. There will always be spare memory cards and batteries in the bad along with a torch and cleaning cloths.Feedback
Wait for he right moment. Its a well shot location now so try and get something a little different.
