Location
This photo was taken at a diner in Santa Rosa, CA.Time
It was around lunch time.Lighting
It was just natural lighting inside the diner. There were consider windows, so it was quite bright.Equipment
I used a Sony Nex-6 with a 17-55mm lens, handheld.Inspiration
I was having in this 50's-style diner and just noticed how dramatic the black and red decor was. I loved the checker-board floor. After finishing lunch, I took about 10 shots of the rows of stools as well as the floor. Fortunately, it was fairly empty at the time.Editing
The only processing was some adjusting of the contrast and sharpness. In my camera bag
I carry a shoulder bag that holds a Sony Nex-6, a Sony a6000, 14mm, 17-55mm, 50-200mm and fish eye lenses, a few extra batteries and memory cards.Feedback
Specifically, for a shot like this, you just can't be shy because you're in restaurant or public place. I would have taken the shots even if there had been a few more people in the establishment. When I noticed the colors and the graphic design of the decor, I was determined to get a few photos before I left!
