Big Lightning

This was the biggest lightning I experienced just in our backyard. It was June 14, 2012 at the middle of the night. It was raining so hard, lightning and thundering. I was left alone by my hubby at home but I decided really to get out to take photos of this lightning. My heart was pounding so fast. I was so scared because if the lightning will hit me I know it will not do better to me. But I always have this in my mind, "No pain, no gain!" It takes courage really to get wonderful photos that we ever imagine. However, after getting 3-4 good photos of lightning the courage is a little bit low already. I am not getting out so much at the middle of the night just for this subject. I took this photo at Lake Hennipen, just in front of our backyard.
