Location
It was inside a structure called Luminarium made by "Architects of air" which was exposed at the Geneva Fest. That struture is made of plastic and infleet, the light come frome the outside light.Time
I pasted already an hour in this afternoon in the structure, the temperature was high despite the vents. A lot of poeple was moving, and i saw him, seated and just watching like i did before, i wanted to capture this moment. So i waited several mintues to have it without poeple moving, only him and the structure.Lighting
The light in the structure was variable, tons and amount of light depends of the light crossing threw the plastic, it was a cloudy day, so the amount of light was low, but with the cloud moving, the structure seemed changing all the time, that was pretty interesting.Equipment
That was with my first reflex, a Nikon D3100 and the 18-300mm that i take when i goes for a long day, and want something very polyvalent with me. I hadn't use tripod or flash. I had to shoot it at 1600 ISO, under it it was impossible with that light, but i had what i wanted.Inspiration
That place was inspirating by his serenity, a lot of us was just seated or layed on the groud, some was even sleeping despite the temperature. I wanted to show a moment of that kind. Someone wich was doing nothing, just enjoy de moment in that amount of colour and variations. Not just seeing it but watching it. I think that this is why this picture works.Editing
Well, with 1600 Iso and an entry level equipment, i had to care of the nois wich was already present. So i haven't post traited it a lot, only push a little bit the saturation and contrast. I had to low some high lights on "the tree". I have mostly worked to reduce the noise in some areas in the photo. For the rest, that was already there at the capture. In my camera bag
Well in that time it was a 50 mm 1.8 and the 18-300mm of nikon with the D3100 that i had. Today i take most of the time the 28-70mm 2.8 of nikon with my D7200. I really love this lense, but when i need more flexibility, i take back the 18-300mm.Feedback
It's very primordial to always look around, and take the time to find what you have imagine. In this case, i was leaving this place, and if i haven't look around me what was happening, i would lost the occasion to make the pictures that i wanted. So always be attentive to the world around you, not just in front of you, and take time to find the good moment to shoot.
