Wondeerful exposure and composition. Great story there. Before I read your explanation I saw a jilted bride looking out of the window and still hoping for a miracle.

Location
This image was taken at Airlie Beach, Queensland.Time
The pre-wedding photos were taken around 1-30pm. There were no clouds in the sky at the time and the sun was harsh as it bounced off the ocean in the background. I chose to make use of that light and let it light all the beautiful details in the room.Lighting
Don't be afraid to use harsh light to add to the mood of the image.Equipment
A handheld Canon 5D Mk II, 17-40mm lens and no artificial lighting.Inspiration
The gorgeous location and details of the room complimented the bride. That special moment just before the wedding is just as important as the ceremony itself. As a bride reflects on where she has come from and where she is going to. It is a moment that I love to capture.Editing
Very little processing was invo9vled. Mainly turning it to BW and enhancing the tones. In my camera bag
For w4ddings I usually take a couple of camera bodies, 17-40mm, 70-200, 00mm, a couple of flashes, reflector and a tripod.Feedback
Don't be afraid to use harsh lighting to compliment your image. Utilise the gorgeous details available to you as they are all part of the big day.
