Location
I photographed this piece in our pool. I love working with the beautiful movement that can be captured under water.Time
I always shoot in late afternoon to avoid too harsh a light over the water.Lighting
I used a flash on the camera to ensure the subject was well lit.Equipment
I used an Olympus TG-4. I always shoot in RAW so I use this camera for my underwater shoots.Inspiration
The movement and solitude emotions that you get from underwater shoots is an incredible experience. The flow of the materials adds to this mood.Editing
Only adjustments in colouring to suit the mood of the image as well as darkening of areas as needed. In my camera bag
I normally shoot with a couple of 5D Mk III's and a range of lenses. I use flash gear when needed, dependant on my required outcome of the shoot.Feedback
Use your inner emotions to capture the final scene. If you feel the mood, than transfer it to your art. If you don't feel what you are trying to portray then it is very difficult to capture it. If you are inspired to shoot a particular scene but am unable to at the time then write down what you are feeling and the picture you are imagining and it will make it easier to capture it on the day of the shoot.
