The GMC 5 window pickup shown in this photo, is a rarer and more upscale machine than its Chevrolet counterpart.
Chevrolet broke away from prewar truck styling with its 1947 models. Marketed as the Advanced Design trucks, Chevy placed an emphasis on cab comfort and safety. For the 1947 to 1954 models, stylists conceived the five-window cab as an extra cost option. The five window was formally known as the Deluxe Cab (aka Nu-Vue Cab), to eliminate the blind spots in the rear quarter panels of the cab. This allowed the driver to look over his shoulder to view the rear instead of poking his head out the window.

Love your insights and really appreciate the "excellent lighting" comment as during editing I had taken the suns bright light down about 60% to get this effect and then as always question is it too dark. Thanks for the "Absolute Masterpiece" peer recognition.

It was fun taking all kinds of photos from all angles, this one made the truck look old and abondoned and yet showed so much detail in the cab.
