Location
This photo was taken just across the road from my house here in Powhatan, Virginia at my neighbors gorgeous farm.Time
This is a sunset picture. I was driving home from my full time job and noticed the way the clouds from the rain we had, had earlier that day was clearing off. I paid no more attention to it until I was sitting in my recliner at the house watching the evening news and noticed a orange hue coming from the window behind me. I peeked out the window and saw the clouds giving way to a glimpse of sunshine. I hopped up and grabbed my gear and ran out the house and across the street for a few quick shots.Lighting
The way the sun was peeking out just below the clouds that were departing the area was simply amazing. Once I got across the street I started shooting near this fence then I notice how the sun was creating the fence shadow which adds to the shot. I backed up just a touch recomposed and took a few more. This was one of the shots from standing up and I also took a couple closer to the ground, but this ended up being my favorite.Equipment
This picture was shot with a Nikon D5200, Tamron 10x24mm lens@ 10mm, ISO 400, F10, 1/80th sec exposure.Inspiration
Nothing really inspired me to take it. It was more just a spur of the Moment Shot. Sometimes you just got to take them when they come. I am inspired by a few photographers. Scott Kelby being the real professional, but a few others that are more amateur than pro. But either or I look up to their work and guidance to help me get better and go further!Editing
I did do some Adobe Lightroom Processing, Sharpening. But mainly went thru a Few presets and got to the HDR preset and clicked it and the picture Literally went "POP" and I was completely in awe of the shot I had just taken. In my camera bag
Well that list is constantly growing but my normal bag consist of a Nikon D800, Nikon D5200, Tamron 10X24mm, Tamron 24x70mm 2.8, Sigma 70x200mm 2.8, Tamron 90mm 2.8, Nikon 50mm 1.8, and a sigma 2x tele-converter. Also a 3 Nikon sb700's, Phottix oden remote with 3 receivers. And yes my bag is "HEAVY"Feedback
Luck, Luck, and More Luck.....Keep your gear close by where ever you go. Because you never know when the good Lord will show you something that will make you say "Damn, that would be a great picture!" And when that happens, make the most of it and pull the camera out and get to clicking. I am completely a self taught Photographer. I consider my self a Hobbyist Photographer, but its my passion to learn photography. And that's what I will do.
