Location
I was doing a road trip accros the US in 2013 and my last step was in New-York. I took this picture a the left end of the Brooklyn Bridge Park.Time
Nighttime around 10 PMLighting
I was doing some artistic experiments and I really wanted to create an explosion of lights. The results were not to bad for a first timeEquipment
Canon 5D Mark II with a 24-105 lens from Canon. I used my tripod, a Vanguard Alta Pro 263AB 100 with an SBH100 head.Inspiration
All the lights coming from Manhattan where really inspiring and I wanted to shoot something really uncommon.Editing
I used lightroom 5 to ad a bit more contrast in the lights. But otherwise there is not a lot of post-processingIn my camera bag
Canon 5D Mark II, Canon lenses 24-105, 50mm 1.4 and a 75-300. All of that with my ND Filters, my remote control and my tripod. Everything packed in a Mountainsmith Borealis bag.Feedback
Put your camera on a tripod or somewhere where it wont move! Zoom in to the place that will be the center of the picture. Take the picture for more or less 1second and when the time is almost over, unzoom to get that lights effect. It require a lots of pictures to get the good one in the begin but once you get it, it's really worth the tries.
