I've seen tons of shots from this same area but this by far stands out and is streets ahead of them all. Fantastic!

I love the length of exposure that makes the sky look like day and the great smooth water -- cool composition, too.

Location
I was doing a road trip accros the US in 2013 and my last step was in New-York. I took this picture a the left end of the Brooklyn Bridge Park.Time
It was around dust at more or less 9 PMLighting
I waited for the sun to disappear to get a uniform skyEquipment
I used my Canon 5d Mark II with a 24-105 lens. My everyday tripod is a Vanguard Alta Pro 263AB 100 with a SBH100 head. To get the long exposure I used a ND filtre 1000X an a remote control.Inspiration
I'm always looking for uncommon point of views. Furthermore, there are plenty of pictures of NY and I wanted to get something that I couldn't find on google, something that I wouldn't reproduce but create.Editing
I use Lightroom 5 for the post-processing and I usually process the saturation and the sharpness. In my camera bag
In my bag (Mountainsmith Borealis AT) you'll always find my Canon 5d Mark II, my 24-105 lens, a 50mm lens and a 75-300 lens. My ND filters, my remote and of course my tripod. But I'd really like to complete my lens collection with a 16-35 and a 70-200 from Canon.Feedback
Just walk along the park and find a spot that you find inspiring. Be patient because there are a lots of boats coming through the picture and shoot! The good point with New-York is that you can't take a bad pictures. The results are always breathtaking!! Good luck and enjoy :)
