Location

I took this photo in Niagara Falls from the Canadian side of the falls, on a rainy afternoon while riding on a boat called"The Maid of the Mist"

Time

The photo was taken at around 2:30 pm.

Lighting

It was raining and mist was coming off of the falls. I had to have a wide open Aperture f/2.8 to capture any detail and at an ISO of 200 (which is the native ISO for the Nikon D4).

Equipment

I shoot this with a Nikon D4 SLR, a nikkor 24-70mm lens at 31 MM Hand Held, no flash.

Inspiration

I have always been attracted to water falls. This is one of the most famous Water Falls in the world. I wanted to get close and this was my chance to do so.

Editing

I used Adobe Light Room to adjust the shadow and high light details in the photo.

A Nikon D4 DSLR body, a 16mm fisheye lens, 24-70mm lens, 14-24 mm Wide Angle Lens, 4- 32GB CF cards, Quantum Trio Flash and Quantum Turbo3 battery pack,Nikon SB 910 flash 1 ND Filter, 1 Circular Polarizing filter, Really Right Stuff off camera flash bracket and attachments, Lens Pen and Lens Cleaning wipes. 1 spare El18 battery for the camera, extra batteries for the SB 910 flash
