Location

This landscape was taken in Honolulu Hawaii in the fall of 2017.

Time

photo was taken in the early afternoon around 5:30 pm

Lighting

The weather was a mix of sun and clouds off and on. The light was good and approaching the golden hour light wise.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D5 SLR with a Nikon 24-70MM f/2.8 VR Lens. I took the shot hand held.

Inspiration

I was at an overlook point on Diamond Head Mountain with a great vantage point. I framed up this view from several locations took 6 shots and settled on this one.

Editing

After returning home I did some post processing to balance out the sky in Adobe Lightroom.

In my camera bag

Camera, at least 2 lens, extra batteries for the camera. A flash unit. off camera flash bracket. Connecting cable for the flash bracket. Extra batteries for flash unit. Compact flash cards. Lens wipes. Filters for the Lens (CP & ND).
