I have lived in this neighborhood for a long time and love to photograph different seasons and areas . I took this picture at the park which has a bay, only two minutes away.Time
It was a cool winter's day, in the earlier afternoon.Lighting
That day, there was a misty mood in the air and although it was overcast in addition, the lighting was magical.Equipment
I am not sure if it was my then very simple rebel XT or my Canon 60D.Inspiration
The mood of the day, the mist and the season, and most of all a significant sentimental reason. I went and sat at this very place on a bench around Spring time many years ago and did not yet live there. I cried in happiness and a little scared about the news that I learned that day. I was pregnant and it was such an amazing moment. The title "ManuIsland" means really, the day I started a life greater than my own and a family.Editing

It is fun to create a simple, but effective imaginary scenery. Flipping an original image can be quite interesting and fun to play with.
