This photo was also taken in front of my house, on my terrace.Time
As the name says, golden hour! Anyway, I can remember it was a summer day, with passing clouds blocking the sky in some moments. It was definitely not the time shown on the clock, but I can remember it was some time past six.Lighting
Cliche lighting, golden hour comfort zone. Purely natural lighting, it was fairly easy to capture a well lit photo that day, especially with passing clouds hiding the sun.Equipment
As always, Olympus E-PL3 with Helios 44m-4 lens. Nothing else.Inspiration
These flowers! They were perfectly lit that day, and I decided to cram up that pocket watch in there and shoot a couple of photos. The color of the clock matched up perfectly with both the time, flowers and the theme of the photo itself. Lighting was also inspiring, although since this is an old clock that doesn't work anymore, I forgot to set it to match the actual time, too.Editing
Just a bit of color correction so that the colors of both clock and flowers match well, as well as some contrast boost and my signature noise hack!In my camera bag
Camera, Helios lens, Minolta lens and my Bosch tripod.Feedback
Seize the moment! Golden hour might be a cliche but it is indeed the best time to get beautifully lit photos. Play around with your props and colors, and I'm sure you can achieve the same, if not better, photo!
