Location
This photo was taken in Antelope Canyon, near Page, ArizonaTime
It was 9:30 a.m. near the end of JulyLighting
The lighting constantly changes in the canyon. View of this 'Wave in the Rock' was really clear in the morning, but on our afternoon trip, the wave couldn't be seen as clear. But there were other aspects of the canyon that were highlighted that I hadn't seen on the morning tourEquipment
My camera was a Rebel T1i, lens was a 55-250 telephoto, and for this particular shot I kept the lens at 55. No flash, no tripod, the camera was hand held.Inspiration
I was amazed that as the light hit the rock, it actually looked like a wave. An amazing view and the colors were enhanced by the sunlight hitting the rockEditing
I re-sized the photo to 1999 -1333 and I sharpened itIn my camera bag
In my camera bag I almost always carry my 500 mm Sigma lens; I always have a Canon 28-105 macro lens, three extension tubes, a ring flash. I also always carry a Canon 55 -250 telephoto lens, a cleaning cloth, several SD Cards, a wireless remote shutter release, rarely do I carry a tripod, or a mono podFeedback
I recommend going to Antelope Canyon and taking several tours - the light is always changing and the shadows show a great variety of views.
