Location
This photo was taken in Antelope Canyon, near Page, ArizonaTime
It was 9:18 A.M.Lighting
Being in the canyon is quite intriguing. The sun shines down through the crevices and openings at the top of the canyon and depending on the time of day will depend on what you 'see'Equipment
My camera was a Rebel T1i the lens was a 55-250, camera was handheld, no flashInspiration
As the Navajo Indian guide was talking to us about the different ways things happen in the canyon, she began throwing handfuls of sand into the air - the different shapes and shimmers of the sand were so exciting that I couldn't help but begin shooting a continuous stream of photos.Editing
I re-sized the photo to 1999 x 1333. And I sharpened the picture.In my camera bag
In my camera bag I almost always carry my 500 mm Sigma lens; I always have a Canon 28-105 macro lens, three extension tubes, a ring flash. I also always carry a Canon 55 -250 telephoto lens, a cleaning cloth, several SD Cards, a wireless remote shutter release, and extra, fully charged, batteries. I am trying to get into the practice of at least having a mono pod with meFeedback
I highly recommend going to the Upper Antelope Canyon and doing the tour - at any time of day. Be prepared to snap photos as quickly as you can. There will be almost no time to change lenses and it will be to crowded to use a tripod. So be ready to hand hold your camera - and have fun. Our goal is to visit the Lower Antelope Canyon the summer of 2015
