Nice shot. Love the fog and how your eye follows the water through the photo.

Behind The Lens
Location
We were driving around Mt. Palomar, California on a misty, cool day.Time
It was early afternoonLighting
The mist made the shot more fun to figure out - there was no real sunlight to deal with.Equipment
I used a Canon 5D Mark II, I didn't have a tripod with me, so I used the top of the car door to stabilize the camera so I could get the shot. The lens I used was a 70 - 200 telephoto lens, this shot was done at 150Inspiration
I was inspired to take this shot due to the misty look, the wind mill, and the stream running through the sceneEditing
I re-sized the photo to 1999 x 1333In my camera bag
In my camera bag I almost always carry my 500 mm Sigma lens; I always have a Canon 28-105 macro lens, three extension tubes, a ring flash. I also always carry a Canon 55 -250 telephoto lens, a cleaning cloth, several SD Cards, a wireless remote shutter release, rarely do I carry a tripod, or a mono podFeedback
If you want to capture something like this for yourself, be ready to go out into the weather, and have your camera ready to go. You can use props other than tripods to steady your camera, use what you feel comfortable with. I love photography and I am always using my camera to take practice shots and checking them out with a photo shop program to see how I did.
