iItook this photo in my room just on my floor. I was messing around with my macro setting on my camera and this happened.Time
I took the photo at about 6. I turned off all the lights in my room and sat taking photos for a while as I couldn't get the shot quite right the first few times. I then used blankets to cover my windows as the background wasn't dark enoughLighting
I wanted the focus to be on the center of the ball but be able to see the plasma coming off of it so I had to turn off all the lights and make my room as dark as possible. I ended up using a few blankets over my windows just so it would be as dark as it is without there being and shafts of light coming in.Equipment
I used a Finepix S4500 with just the lense it has. and then I held the camera so no other equipment was used.Inspiration
I had just go the new camera and then my brother had come back that day with a plasma ball from a shop and was messing around with it. Every time he would show it off he always turned the lights off and I could see that there was an amazing affect created by it. This then inspired me to take the plasma ball and see if I could capture the same amazing affect my brother had shown me.Editing
I didn't do anything to the photoIn my camera bag
I prefer not to have a bag unless i'm going somewhere where I know I can take good landscapes. I tend to just carry either my FinepixS4500 or I just carry a Nokia Lumia 1020 which I have with me for spur of the moment shots when i'm with family or friends and i don't want to carry a larger camera.Feedback
Find objects that are just around you and that you like the look of or think are cool. Once you do this taking the photo isn't as hard because you like what you're looking at and there will be someone out there that then shares that interest or fascination for that subject. It is always nice to contrast light and black and when you do just make sure you have a pitch black room to take the photos in otherwise the pictures don't come out as nice.
