Location
This was taken at my home during while it was raining outside.Time
It was the middle of the day but completely overcast as it had been raining.Lighting
I had to use a flash to get better lighting on the flower and water and because of that i was able to darken the background and get better attention to the flower.Equipment
Canon 70D, 50mm lens, and a flashInspiration
I wanted to try out a new lens that has a smaller aperture to get a bokeh effect and try out macro style photoEditing
because of right timing and the new lens, i didnt have to do much on post-processing other than crop it and bring the shadow's down.In my camera bag
Now I carry two cameras, my old Canon 70D, my new Canon 90D, 3 prime lenses, Meike 85mm f1.8, Canon EF 50mm f1.8, and Sigma 30mm F/1.4 and 1 zoom lens, Sigma 17-70mm F/2.8. Two flashes, Godox V850II and an attachable softbox for my flash.Feedback
Trial and error. The rainy day offered the best for this specific type of shot, cloudy but daytime and water on a new rose that was blooming. You can plan to take shots but sometimes it is a lucky shot because nature needs to give you the right moment and you cant control that, so you have to be ready for anything with your camera near by!
