Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture at Canyon Lake, near the dam. Beautiful blue water that sparkles in the sun.

Time

It was near sunset in May, so about 8pm. It made for shine beautiful colors on the water.

Lighting

It was enough Sun to sparkle on the water but not to much to blind your photo!

Equipment

Just me and my Canon EOS Rebel T3 with a18-200 F3.5-6.3 TAMRON Lens.

Inspiration

The landscape was beautiful and the sun was hitting the water just right. I really wanted to capture that moment and take it back with me.

Editing

Yes, I used GIMP to lighten it in order to get the rocks to show a bit more and brought out the colors a bit more for that pop.

In my camera bag

I carry my Canon Rebel T318-200 F3.5-6.3 TAMRON, a Canon zoom 75-300 lens and shine filters for lighting but to be honest I really only use my camera and the tamron lens alone most of the time!

Feedback

Sometimes the pictures in the moment are the ones that you remember and love the most. You have to be ready with your camera and always have your photography eye out because you just never know when that perfect shot will come up.
