Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in my backyard

Time

Believe it or not it was during a hot summer day!

Lighting

I used a reflector to light her face. Then converted the scene to a snow shot in photoshop.

Equipment

I used my Nikon 700 with the 85mm 1.2 lens Shoots like creamy butter!

Inspiration

I was entering a A winter contest in the summertime. Since I had the fur collar coat I accepted the challenge of the conversion.

Editing

I ended up purchasing software to use in photoshop to make the snow.

In my camera bag

I have always used Nikon camera and lenses. My favorite for shooting people is the 24-200mm 2.8 The compression is awesome!

Feedback

I do love the 85mm for close up portraits. The use of a reflector really brings a flattering light to the face. Practice using it and you will agree.
