This was the first bare back bronco rider at our Independence Day Rodeo. Unfortunately for him he tied himself down too much and was dragged around the arena. I captured him 6 feet up and not 6 feet under. He could not stand, I had to attend to him and eventually send him via ambulance to hospital. Fortunately no serious injury. Being a MD at these event is definitely dual duty. Missed all the other bare back bronc riders. Be safe. Emile.

You did a great job capturing the action--just too bad that it led to injury.

Great capture! Rider and horse both airborne. I'm glad he made it through this misfortune.
