This tree has an interesting story. It's situated in Armenia, near Haghartsin medieval monastery. Many many years, a lot of people were tying handkerchiefs on the branches of the tree and were making a wishes during that process. But servers of the christian church did not like that, because this tradition had a routes coming from pegan times, and armenians are not pegans since 301, and more than 1700 years are christians.. So one day the tree was burnt and destroyed, and the monks said, that it was done by thunderstorm, but some people think, that the monks and servers burnt the tree, in this way to make people to stop old pegan traditions and stay ture christians.... But what was in reality, we will never know....
