In southern Costa Rica, it pays to start the stunning coastal hike out to Parque Nacional Corcovado at dawn, as the rest of the day boils with sticky air! Along the way we managed to see dozens of birds, lizards, poison dart frogs, and even footprints of the elusive tapir.
