Lush green moss covers everything. The air is chilled and misty, occasionally cloaking a waterfall crowned by a precariously teetering downed tree. A narrow walkway leads behind the falls and beneath a massive rock overhang. This is South Falls in Silver Falls State Park, Oregon.
