The museum has excellent lighting for all their exhibits, very dramatic and well placed.Equipment
I used a Nikon D-200, Nikkor 18-135mm 1:3.5-5.6 zoom lens and a Manfrotto 055MF4 tripod with a 3265 joystick head. The settings were ISO 800, 1/15, f3.5.Inspiration
As I walked around the Discovery I realized the oblique lighting of the black belly made for a great image. The tiles and the heat streaks added great detail.Editing
I used Silver Efex Pro for the B&W.In my camera bag
I have a Nikon D-7100, Nikkor 18-135mm 1:3.5-5.6 zoom lens for most of my work. I also have a Nikkor 70-300mm and an 80-400mm lens. I use a Nikon SB-800 Speedlight flash and a Manfrotto 055MF4 tripod with a 3265 joystick head.Feedback
Oblique or angled lighting adds fine shadows and brings out the details in surfaces. Look in places others might miss.
