Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico near city's airport.

Time

It was around 7 p.m. during spring time. On that season Sun sets late.

Lighting

Natural light can provide true colors, textures, but also shadows that can provide an aesthetic result.

Equipment

It was taken with a NIkon Coolpix P500 on manual mode, I just bought that camera and I decided to take it for a walk and se what I could get with it, specially on low light conditios, and had this beautiful sunset and clouds in front of me, so I took the opportunity to get this sshot.

Inspiration

I've always loved the ocean and sunsets, they represent, on my perception, not only the end of the day, but one more page on anybody's life, turning into a new chapter.

Editing

No editing was used on this picture, usually I prefer to obtain reuslts directly from camera and it's manual functions.

In my camera bag

I usually carry two cameras, an RX 100 Mark V for low light and night shooting, cause it's 1.8 aperture. And an Cybershot HX400V, it's powerful zoom (1200 mm -35mm equivalent-) helps me out to take not only far elements, but also for wild life or difficult things to waltk to and capture. Also with this lens I am able to take pictures of one of my favorite motives, the moon.

Feedback

Get out, walk, pay attention to your surroundings, take pictures of everything, specially if what are you capturing makes you feel something worth to have a photograph and share it.
