This image was taken at Nuevo Vallarta, Nayarit , Mexico, whilke contemplating the sunset. I was waiting for something inspiring to be captured and the clouds, plus the Sun helped.Time
I was having a bad couple of days , as I remember, before I took this picture, it was a Saturday afternoon, around 6 p.m., October. I went to a pier looking for some peace, listening to the ocean, watching the horizon helped me to realize that nature always shows you a smiling face and capturing this picture always makes me remember how bad I was feeling, but at the same time thanks to the beauty of nature I manage to obtain this wonderful picture.Lighting
I always prefer to use natural light on my pictures, especially in landscapes. In this case the sun was right in front of me covered with clouds looking in the perfect way to play with manipulations on camera to obtain an aesthetic result.Equipment

This picture was the result of contemplating myself, inspired by my own passion for photography, and at the same time the admiration I have to nature itself, I always find something new, different. You can always watch a sunset, but never will be the same one to another.Editing
This was the very first time I started to use HDR (High Dynamic Range) to process a picture, I knew the technique however nerver worked with it before, until this picture. In this case I took the original file and duplicate it, leaving the original, one with less values in terms of exposure, and over expose the other one. Using photogrpahic editing software I unite the three pictures in order to manage the color, ilumination and other factors to create the result.In my camera bag
I love small cameras, like my Panasonic Lumix GF 3, with a couple of lenses (short range- 28-84mm , and a long range - 100-300 mm.) Plus I always take a pictbridge camera or a "super zoom" camera in order to get closer shots of far elements. A tripod, and a couple of led lamps they are also part of the things I use.Feedback
Always try to think that your eyes are a camera, pay attention to minimal details, things that you see everyday but never stopped to really observe them. Create an image in your mind, plus think about what is that you want to transmit in every picture, remember that an image speaks about your own self...
