Legends stem from vast genres. From the wild west to pirate ships and tales of past generations. You've heard the expression..."if so & so or such & such could talk. Imagine the stories to be told." This holds true for trees- the more massive, the bigger the possible tale...the more interesting the branches, the greater the potential story. This particular tree, located not far from my home has caught my eye often as I pass it traveling to and fro. Sizeable in girth, yet exempt of its former branches. ...somehow external forces have created a gnome like deficiet in its roomy trunk. Nearly big enough for a small child to nestle into, I've certainly witnessed posses of animals take refuge in this arched room over the years. LEGENDARY indeed as this land has seen visitors & inhabitants since the days of the Civil War.
