Who does not love toads or frogs? Raise of hands? Who remembers the amazement & wonder of watching tadpoles swim around...soon develop a tail? WHAT? A frog have a tail? Then in seemingly, the blink of an eye that" tail looking appendage" morphed into legs and a critter referred to as a frog! We ran around as kids trying to catch them and after we did...slowly we would open our little hands to show our friend or brother and BOING! He had escaped. Lol! Great memories for me and now living rural we have a variety of tree frogs, toads and the like, running helter skelter through our property. I'm still searching for a license plate or sign I can hang on my rider mower that states: I brake for toads. This little guy was ever so content hiding out in the pile of mulch I had delivered. Ahhhhh summertime in the country!!
