Location
I took this photo in the tower of the duomo in Turin, during a tourist visit with my family in 2009.Time
it was about twelve a.m. in a cloudy-sunny day.Lighting
The sun was on the other side of the duomo and after taking several test photos, putting the camera at different heights, I managed to take this shot.Equipment
I always travel with two cameras in my luggage, a bridge and a small camera to use according to the occasion. This photo was made with the small camera, because it was the only one that fit through the hole in the bars.Inspiration
As I reached the top of the duomo, I began to hear noises below me coming from the side of the duomo and as I peeked in I saw the hanging workers making repairs to the lights. This type of workers always seemed admirable to me and I wanted to capture the danger in my camera, for which I had to do several tests from different angles and from different heights, putting my hand and the camera between the bars.Editing
I hate doing a lot of retouching on photos with processing programs and I didn't even have a good computer to do post-processing, so it is practically unchanged. In my camera bag
I really like bridge cameras for the wide range of possibilities they have, but also limitations in the different modes, (in fact I have two, a Canon Powershot SX50HS with eight years and a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200) and they always go in the bag with a normal compact camera and another compact aquatic camera, the CANON Powershot D10 for rainy days and take underwater photos. I could never use a reflex because my salary does not allow me to have a camera like this and it is my great dream to be able to have one because a long time ago I used analogs (I have three bodies with various objectives) and I could surely get a great performance out of them.Feedback
First of all, grab the camera with the strap and firmly, so that there are no falls from a great height ... I like to explore the site I visit and see the potential it has, speaking of photography, and if I cannot make another visit or there are too many people, I take the most original photos possible, but if I can make another visit or there are not many people, I carry out tests and I study them calmly, first with my eyes and then with the camera. I always try with different angles and heights and I also study the type of light that is at that moment and thus be able to get a great performance out of the photo.
