Tim, I like this one the best with the black and white. You are right, there is nothing more you need to say as it tells an amazing story.

Awesome. Black frame would be great on this. Perfect for a postcard.

Tim, this is an excellent capture. I can hear the sounds of these tuskers making contact and small the African bush. Great shot. Brian

Location
I was in north Namibia in the Etosha National Park.Time
Later in the afternoon, about 1 hour of daylight remaining.Lighting
The late afternoon sun was coming in from behind me on my left hand side. It was low in the sky. I used that as my light source.Equipment
Hand held 60D with a Sigma 600mm lens with f14 setting an a high ISO2000 to compensate for the afternoon light and the longer distance. Manual focus with a rapid fire shutter.Inspiration
Simple, these two adolescent elephants were fighting around a water hole, as teenage boys do sometimes. They were about 100 meter away. I was in a truck enjoying the scene as it unfolded in front of me.Editing
Very, very little... I do shoot in RAW, but prefer to use very min post-processing... Just a B/W conversion.... I always prefer to let the picture tell the story....In my camera bag
I travel very light... plenty of spare batteries thou... that's a must especially when overseas... a very small range of lens... one fixed 50mm and the two standard lens that came with the original purchase camera kit.... Only take the 600mm on specific trips... always take a water bottle...Feedback
I'm very much an amateur ..... however, the best advise I can give is keep it simple.. remember it's the picture that tells a story... focus on composition, work the shoots, move, climb up trees if you must, try different angles, lay on the ground, get dirty, experiment and don't listen to too many experts... Play around with settings, be patient, and most of all, have fun.....
