Location
Taken in a tunnel walkway in London erected while some building works were being carried out.Time
It was late afternoon.Lighting
I just enjoyed the way that the shadows reflected on the wall of the tunnel.Equipment
I used a canon DSLR without flash.I did increase the ISO to allow me sufficient aperture speed to keep the walking people still.Inspiration
Photography is all about the capture of light. Two exactly the same images can be world apart in their wow factor, simply down to the light at the time the image was taken. This image was nothing in colour, but the conversion in to monochrome made all the difference.Editing
I did a bit of tuning the shadows to increase the shadows and make them stand out.In my camera bag
While engaged in street photography I don't carry a bag. I have a small Canon M5 with a couple of lenses and a spare battery in my pocket. Travelling light makes me much less conspicuous to the general public allowing me to get better images. I often use a 22mm prime lens for this, as it is very small and much less threatening.Feedback
Use a small camera, travel light and keep your eyes open and camera at the ready.
