On camera Canon 430EX II flash, TTL metering. It was a failing light, evening shoot.Equipment
Canon 5D, 24-70 f2.8L lens hand held, on camera Canon 430EX II flash.Inspiration
We wanted to do a fun, 1960's themed Biker Chick shoot. On seeing the helmet and goggles the model, Aly Chaffee, fell in love with them and 'had to wear them' Shot from low p.o.v.Editing
Only post processing was removing a power line from the background. Otherwise it is as shot.In my camera bag
Simple bag, Canon 5D camera, a 24-70 f2.8 L and/or 70-200 f2.8 L. Depending on shoot I am planning. Also a 430 EX II flash, spare batteries and cards.Feedback
Be prepared, think about the look and feel you are trying to achieve and work with the model. Let her know ahead of time so she can research and dress accordingly. The biggest prop was the motorcycle, luckily I knew the owner and had free use of a few bikes. Also, most bikers are more than happy to let their machines be photographed and for people to sit on them. Just Ask.
