This photo was taken at the Barrage in Singapore.Time
It was the hottest time of the day at 12 noon.Lighting
It was the perfect day with blue sky and harsh top down lights from the noon sun and I got my assistant to fill in the shadows with a big silver reflector for the sunny crispy look.Equipment
I was using a dslr and a collapsible reflector for this shot.Inspiration
I was actually commissioned to do this photo shoot for a variety Programme for Vasantham channel in mediacorp Singapore and the title of the Programme is "friends" I thought making the 3 hosts of the Programme to do a jump shot will best featured the energy, fun and young content of it.Editing
I always shoot my images in raw to retain the dynamic range of details so that I can post process the Colours, contrast, highlights and sharpness in Lightroom.In my camera bag
I always bring a light meter, Color checker, 2 camera bodies, a couple of lenses, 16-35mm 50mm, 85mm and 70-200mm to make sure I'm well covered, 2 speedlites and remote air trigger for off hotshoe flash photography.Feedback
Basically all we need is the perfect weather, perfect angle where the talents are facing the Sun, get the energy of the talents moving for that jump shot, focus lock on the position where they head off for the jump, get your shutter speed on at least 1/1000 Sec to freeze motion.
