Behind The Lens
Location
I took this photo in Illinois it was on a rural area, but I don't remember the town. I dad a similar scene in my mind for a while. I was on my way home from a coworkers funeral when I saw this. I turned around and pulled over to survey the scene. It was as if he had provided it to me.Time
It was late afternoon on a cold misty day.Lighting
All of the lighting was provided my Mother Nature. The mist and fog are what make it special in my opinion.Equipment
I shot this with a Fuji X20 hand held. I was making a pinhole exposure with a pinhole camera and decided to make a few digital shots during the long exposure.Inspiration
I had been looking for a lone huge tree in an empty space when I came across this scene. I still haven't fount the "perfect" tree but this was close enough to be worth exploring.Editing
Post was done in Tonality Pro and light room.In my camera bag
When I head out I usually have one digital camera with the mood of the day lens mounted. I want to pay attention to the scene rather than the equipment. With that said lately I have been shooting a lot of film, with that I have a couple of bodies with me most of the time, one B&W and one color. I also always have a Fuji X30 in my truck at all times for those have to pull over and get the shot moments.Feedback
For those that want to capture something similar...don't. Find a similar scene and make it your own. I find inspiration in many others work but to try to copy it would bore me to death, I steal ideas from many and try combine the feeling that the work gives me into my own feelings.
